Children must be between the ages of 3 and 17 and in active cancer treatment. These qualifications may change as the organization grows. Currently Haven Makers is serving Cuyahoga and Lorain Counties, with plans to expand to other counties as the organization grows. 

Our goal is to be able to give every qualifying cancer warrior an amazing bedroom makeover. Once we are financially able, we will have an application available online that individuals may fill out to be reviewed and considered. However, we cannot guarantee all children will get a room makeover at this time. We will also consider the severity of their illness and prioritize those most in need to be next for a room makeover. Currently, we are not accepting applications and are approaching individual families with the help of hospital staff in order to identify potential room makeover recipients.

There is NO cost and is given as a gift from the community. 

We rely solely on donations from individuals, businesses, sponsors, grants, and funds raised from special events. Occasionally we will get in-kind gifts of services or new items.

Volunteers should be 18 and older, although some exceptions can be made at the discretion of the leader of the makeover team for any particular makeover. A parent waiver will need to be signed for any individuals under 18. All volunteers must sign a waiver to participate. We ask that only healthy individuals attend makeovers. If you are ill, please stay home. We cannot risk passing on illness to immune compromised children. There will always be another makeover you can attend!
